Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Vocaco at vocaco.ai and related services (the “Service”), operated by Daniel Zoltan Kanyik, a sole proprietorship trading as Vocaco (“Vocaco”, “we”, “us”), based in the Netherlands. Once Vocaco is incorporated as a Dutch private limited company (B.V.), these Terms will be updated to name that company. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Vocaco turns topics you describe into bilingual practice sentences and spoken audio playlists to help you learn a language. The Service is provided for personal, educational use.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the Service.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your password and verification codes confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. AI-generated content & accuracy

Practice sentences, translations, and audio are generated automatically by artificial-intelligence systems and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unnatural phrasing. The Service is a learning aid and is not a substitute for professional translation, interpretation, or language instruction. You use generated content at your own risk and should verify anything important before relying on it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to generate unlawful, harmful, hateful, or infringing content;
• submit topics containing others’ personal data or sensitive information;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its providers;
• resell, redistribute, or use the Service or its outputs in violation of these Terms or any applicable third-party terms;
• exceed or circumvent plan limits or automated usage controls.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the topics you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (including sending it to the service providers described in our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any content you provide.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by law. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, no rights are transferred.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (including AI text generation, audio generation, and email delivery). Your use may also be subject to those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for third-party services and do not guarantee their availability.

8. Plans, credits & payment

A free plan is available with usage limits (for example, a monthly allowance of study credits and a cap on collections). Paid plans shown on the Service are not yet available for purchase; you may join a waitlist to be notified. Pricing, limits, and features may change. If and when paid plans launch, additional billing terms will apply and be presented at checkout.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will be accurate or suitable for any purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and the courts of the Netherlands will have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
